A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, he spent one year at Georgia Tech without appearing in games before transferring to Stanford. During his redshirt freshman season in 2025, Greer did not play in any contests for the Cardinal. He was a 2023 All-4A Southern Carolina Conference selection and named to the Charlotte Observer All-Charlotte County Team that same year.
