Benedict Umeh is a defensive lineman for Stanford Cardinal at 6'5" and 280 pounds. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he attended Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut, where he earned four-star recruit status and ranked among the nation's top 200 prospects. He also competed in wrestling, track and field, and volleyball, earning 2022 All-NESPAC Honorable Mention and First-Team All-Founders League honors. Umeh redshirted during his freshman year in 2024. As a redshirt sophomore in 2025, he appeared in two games, including Stanford's contest against San Jose State on September 27 and the season finale versus No. 9 Notre Dame on November 29.
