Luke Beard is a long snapper from Ackerman, Mississippi, who attended Choctaw County High School before playing at Mississippi State. At Mississippi State, he redshirted as a freshman in 2023 and was named to the First Year SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2024 after not appearing in games. Beard transferred to Southern Miss, where he played in all 13 games during the 2025 season handling snaps for both place kicks and punts. The team did not record a blocked kick during the season.
