Baron Taylor is a 6'0", 190-pound defensive back from Sacramento, California, who attended Inderkum High School. At Southern Utah, Taylor appeared in 10 games as a freshman in 2024, recording 30 tackles (17 solo), two breakups, two quarterback hurries, and a forced fumble against Utah. In 2025, he saw action in 11 games and posted 52 tackles (28 solo) with 1.5 tackles for loss, an interception against Abilene Christian, and a forced fumble against Northern Arizona. Taylor recorded consecutive season-high eight-tackle performances against Central Arkansas and North Alabama to close his sophomore campaign. He now joins Southern Miss as a transfer.
