Seth Smith is a left tackle from Chandler, Arizona, who played four seasons at Northern Arizona before transferring to South Carolina as a redshirt senior. A three-year letterwinner in high school, he redshirted his freshman year in 2021, then appeared in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2022, making his collegiate debut against Idaho. Smith started all 13 games at left tackle in 2024, contributing to four games in which the Lumberjacks rushed for over 200 yards. In 2025, he started all 12 games and was voted one of five team captains. He holds a bachelor's degree in University Studies with minors in business and biology and is pursuing an MBA.
