Jawarn Howell is a 6'1", 222-pound running back from Mooresville, North Carolina, who transferred to South Carolina after three seasons at South Carolina State. At the FCS level, he earned MEAC Rookie of the Year and FCS Freshman All-America honors in 2023, rushing for 809 yards and seven touchdowns on 102 carries. He joined the Gamecocks in January 2024 and appeared in five games that season, averaging 6.5 yards per carry with two touchdowns on 19 rushes.
