Jalewis Solomon is a 6'1", 195-pound left cornerback for the South Carolina Gamecocks who joined the program as a four-star recruit (No. 213 overall, 2024 class). At Schley County High School in Ellaville, Georgia, Solomon played wide receiver and cornerback, accumulating over 3,400 yards and 34 touchdowns while recording 96 tackles, 17 interceptions, and 20 pass breakups across his career. As a true freshman in 2024, he appeared in three contests before redshirting. In 2025 as a redshirt sophomore, Solomon played in four games, including matchups against South Carolina State, Vanderbilt, Alabama, and Ole Miss, recording two tackles against SC State. He earned SEC academic honors in both seasons.
