Emmanuel Poku is a 6'5", 320-pound right guard from Charlotte, North Carolina who attended Olympic High School. He walked on to East Carolina in 2022 and redshirted his freshman year without game action. Poku earned his first varsity letter in 2023, appearing in nine games in reserve roles across offense and special teams with 242 total snaps. In 2024, he started all 13 games at right tackle, logging 862 total snaps and earning second varsity letter honors. During the 2025 redshirt junior season, Poku started all 13 games at right guard for the Pirates, playing 975 snaps and receiving second-team American Athletic Conference recognition as East Carolina went 9-4 and won the Go Bowling Military Bowl. He transferred to South Carolina as a graduate student.
