David Bucey is a safety for South Carolina who graduated from Savannah Christian Prep in December 2023 and enrolled with the Gamecocks in January 2024. As a freshman, he appeared in all 13 games, recording four tackles and two forced fumbles. In 2025, Bucey played in all 12 games with one start at Missouri, where he posted five tackles. He finished the season with 14 tackles including 10 solo stops and registered a blocked punt against South Carolina State. Bucey has been named to the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll twice and earned CSC Academic All-District honors.
