Caleb Herring is a 6'5", 245-pound right defensive end from Newnan, Georgia, who transferred to South Carolina after three seasons at Tennessee. As a freshman in 2023, he appeared in 11 games and recorded three tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble. In 2024, he saw action in 12 of 13 games with eight tackles and one tackle for loss across 119 defensive snaps. During his 2025 junior campaign, Herring played all 13 games, accumulating 14 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, and six quarterback hurries while breaking up two passes. He posted career highs of four tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in the SEC opener against Georgia.
