Stephen Johnson is a nose tackle for South Alabama from Fayetteville, Georgia. He prepped at Whitewater High School, where he recorded 74 tackles, six tackles for loss, and 4.0 sacks as a senior in 2022. Johnson redshirted during the 2023 season at Auburn before transferring to McNeese, where he appeared in 10 games in 2024 and made 17 tackles with 0.5 tackles for loss. In 2025, his first year with the Jaguars, Johnson played in all 12 games and started against Auburn, finishing with 16 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one pass breakup.
