Bishop Davenport is a redshirt senior quarterback for South Alabama. Originally from Spring, Texas, Davenport began his college career at Utah State in 2023, appearing in three games while preserving eligibility. He transferred to South Alabama and started 11 games in 2024, completing 48 passes for 604 yards with three touchdowns while adding 161 rushing yards and a touchdown. In 2025, Davenport started all 12 games, throwing for 2,072 yards and 12 touchdowns against six interceptions with a 68 percent completion rate. He rushed 116 times for 326 yards and nine additional touchdowns, earning Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention honors following a performance against Georgia State in which he passed for 280 yards and two scores.
