Anthony Eager is a 6'1", 185-pound wide receiver for South Alabama from Mobile, AL. A three-star recruit in the 2023 class, he appeared in one game as a true freshman in 2023 before redshirting. During his redshirt freshman season in 2024, Eager played in all 13 games and caught 10 passes for 133 yards with two touchdowns, including a 23-yard score against North Texas and four catches for 91 yards and a touchdown versus LSU. In 2025, his redshirt sophomore year, he appeared in all 12 games with four starts, recording 40 receptions for 339 yards and one receiving touchdown. Eager also rushed twice for 24 yards and one score while posting a season-long reception of 48 yards against ULM.
