Yamir Knight is a 5'8" wide receiver from Smyrna, Delaware, who transferred to SMU from James Madison. At James Madison, Knight recorded 53 receptions for 605 yards and four touchdowns as a sophomore in 2024, and eight receptions for 73 yards as a freshman in 2023. In his junior year at SMU in 2025, Knight appeared in all 13 games with six starts, recording 54 receptions for 637 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 11.8 yards per catch. He had a season-high 162 receiving yards on seven catches against Boston College on November 8 and was named Offensive MVP of the Trust & Will Holiday Bowl after totaling seven catches for 104 yards. Knight also contributed on special teams with 16 punt returns for 168 yards, averaging 10.5 yards per return with a long of 27 yards.
