Trey Jackson is a 6'5" tight end from Dallas, Texas, who transferred to SMU from Texas Tech. At South Oak Cliff High School, Jackson primarily played wide receiver and averaged more than 20 yards per catch as a senior with 24 receptions for 505 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was named All-District 6-5A first team as both a junior and senior. Jackson joined Texas Tech's tight ends room and redshirted in 2024 after appearing in two games against North Texas and Baylor. He appeared in all 14 games during the 2025 redshirt freshman season at Texas Tech before entering the transfer portal.
