Sael Reyes is a safety for SMU, standing 6'1" and weighing 197 pounds. From East Saint Louis, Illinois, he attended DeSoto High School, where he earned All-District honors as a junior and All-State recognition during his sophomore year. As a sophomore at East Saint Louis, Reyes recorded 63 tackles with 37 solo and five interceptions for 155 return yards. In his junior season at DeSoto, he totaled 60 tackles with 24 solo and three tackles for loss while helping the team to a 16-0 record and the Texas 6A D-1 State Championship. During his 2025 freshman season, Reyes appeared in nine games, recording two total tackles and an interception against Boston College on November 8. He remains on the roster as a returning sophomore.
