Jayvon Thomas is a cornerback from Dallas, Texas, who transferred to SMU after three seasons at Texas A&M. A 4-star recruit ranked in the top 25 overall prospects in Texas, Thomas appeared in nine games as a freshman in 2023, including a start at Ole Miss, and recorded six tackles in the Texas Bowl against Oklahoma State. In 2024, he played in 11 games with four starts, posting three tackles at Auburn, a tackle for a 9-yard loss against Arkansas, and an interception returned 15 yards in the victory at Florida. Thomas appeared in 13 games in 2025 and recorded one tackle.
