Jalen Cooper is a 6'2" wide receiver from Cibolo, Texas, who attended Steele High School. A four-star recruit in the 2025 class, Cooper chose SMU over Baylor, Houston, Kansas State, and Oklahoma State. In his freshman year (2025), he appeared in all 13 games with six starts, recording 19 receptions for 321 yards and two touchdowns. His season long reception covered 75 yards for a score against Baylor on September 6. Cooper earned All-ACC Academic Team honors and currently returns as a sophomore.
