Jahkai Lang is a 6'3", 255-pound defensive end from Troy, Missouri, who transferred to SMU from Missouri. Lang redshirted his freshman year in 2023, then appeared in 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2024, recording 13 tackles with seven solo, 3.0 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks. In 2025, his first season with the Mustangs, Lang appeared in all 13 games with four starts, tallying 25 total tackles including six solo, one tackle for loss, and one fumble recovery. He posted six tackles in the November 1 victory over No. 10 Miami.
