Sam Cowart is a long snapper for the San José State Spartans. The 6'1", 220-pound sophomore from Redwood City, California, played linebacker and long snapper at Woodside High School, where he served as captain his senior year. He recorded 128 total tackles and 11 tackles for loss across 24 varsity games while earning three letters. Cowart spent 2025 at Foothill College, appearing in 11 games as a long snapper and posting two tackles before winning the Pepsi Bowl against College of Sequoias. He transferred to SJSU for his first season with the program.
