A four-star recruit in 2023, McClure recorded 98 catches for 1,964 yards and 22 touchdowns across 20 varsity games, including a senior season with 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns. He initially committed to UCLA, appearing in two games during 2023 before redshirting. McClure then transferred to San Diego State, where he played in three games in 2024 without recording a stat, followed by 12 games in 2025 with one reception for eight yards. Now a redshirt junior, McClure transferred to San José State for the 2026 season and was named to Athlon Sports Preseason Mountain West Third-Team Offense.
