Luke Gayton is a 6'1", 195-pound wide receiver from Palos Verdes Estates, California, entering his sophomore season at San Diego State. He spent two seasons at Washington (2024-2025), redshirting in 2024 and earning the Bob Jarvis Offensive Scout Squad MVP award before appearing in no games in 2025. He made the Big Ten All-Academic team. At Palos Verdes High School, Gayton established himself as the program's all-time leading receiver. As a senior in 2023, he caught 44 passes for 810 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning first-team All-CIF Southern Section Division 2 honors and Bay League Co-Offensive Player of the Year. He also received the inaugural LaDainian Tomlinson Los Angeles Player of the Year Award that year. His junior season produced 50 receptions for 723 yards and nine touchdowns.
