Bert Emanuel Jr. is a redshirt senior quarterback from Houston, Texas who transferred to San Diego State for the 2025 season after three years at Central Michigan. During his final collegiate campaign, he appeared in 11 games including a start in the New Mexico Bowl against North Texas. Emanuel completed 9 of 16 passes for 74 yards and ranked third on the team in rushing with 293 yards and 2 touchdowns. He posted 170 rushing yards in the bowl game, including a 72-yard touchdown run—the Aztecs' longest offensive touchdown of the season and a program record for rushing yards by a quarterback in a single game.
