Octavius Henderson is a 6'3", 190-pound right cornerback from Nashville, TN who transferred to Sam Houston from Southeast Missouri State. At Goodpasture Christian School, Henderson competed in football and basketball, seeing action at wide receiver and safety. During his 2022 season at SEMO, he contributed as a reserve defensive back and on special teams while earning a redshirt after appearing in 3 games; the team won the Ohio Valley Conference and advanced to the FCS Playoffs. In 2024, Henderson played in all 13 games, recording 19 solo tackles and 4 pass breakups as SEMO won the Big South–OVC title and earned an FCS Playoffs berth. Now in his redshirt senior year with the Bearkats, Henderson has registered 3 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass defense in 2025.
