Nico Ottomanelli is a kicker from Harrington Park, New Jersey, who attended Northern Valley Regional High School. Kohl's Kicking ranked him as a 4.5-star prospect at kicker and 4-star prospect at punter. In high school, he made 14-of-17 field goals and was an all-district selection as a senior, converting 6-of-8 field goals with 48 extra points, including a 50-yard school record. After redshirting in 2024 at Nebraska, Ottomanelli transferred to Sam Houston, where he serves as the primary holder on field goal and PAT units. In 2025, he successfully converted on-side kicks against UNLV on August 29 and Middle Tennessee on November 22, the first conversions for Sam Houston since 2019.
