Justin Cottrell is a 6'1", 175-pound cornerback from West Columbia, Texas, where he lettered at West Columbia HS and earned first-team all-league honors and District MVP recognition in track. After redshirting during a 2023 season at Rocky Mountain College, Cottrell spent two years at Tyler JC. In 2025 as a redshirt sophomore, he appeared in 12 games, recording 10 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 4 pass breakups while also recording a blocked kick in a win over Snow College.
