Shontrail Key is a 6'5", 290-pound left tackle from Chicago, Illinois who graduated from Morgan Park HS in 2021. He began his college career at Arizona, redshirting in 2021 and not appearing in games during 2022. Key then played six games at Grambling State in 2023 before transferring to Incarnate Word, where he appeared in four games in 2024 and 11 games in 2025. He holds a business degree from UIW and is pursuing a second bachelor's in kinesiology. Now a redshirt senior/transfer at Sacramento State, Key joins the Hornets as a graduate transfer.
