Matt Coleman is a 6'0", 173-pound wide receiver from Carson, CA, who transferred to Sacramento State after four seasons at San Jose State. The redshirt senior attended Serra HS in Gardena, where he won State and Southern Section championships in 2021 and earned all-area second-team honors at the position. Over 36 games with the Spartans, Coleman recorded 66 receptions for 651 yards and three touchdowns. In 2024, he had 34 receptions for 401 yards and two scores, including 12 catches for 119 yards against South Florida in The Hawaii Bowl. He added 20 receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown in 2025. Coleman also returned a punt 75 yards for a score against Cal Poly in 2023.
