Zaire Angoy is a defensive tackle from Irvington, New Jersey, majoring in Labor and Employment Relations. A consensus three-star recruit, he joined Rutgers in 2021 but redshirted his freshman year. Angoy appeared in three games as a sophomore in 2022, then saw action in nine games during his junior season in 2023, recording nine tackles including three in the Pinstripe Bowl win over Miami. In 2024, he played all 13 games with 14 tackles, posting a season-high five against UCLA. During the 2025 season, Angoy started 11 of 12 games, accumulating 10 tackles and one tackle for loss. He earned the Douglas A. Smith Second Effort Award in spring 2025 as the most improved defensive player.
