Ty Morris is a linebacker from Houston who played three seasons at Rice (2023–25) before transferring to Rutgers. The 6'2", 235-pound senior appeared in 37 games with 17 starts, accumulating 153 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, and seven sacks while also recording four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. In 2025, his junior year, Morris started all 13 games and posted 88 tackles with 9.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks, earning fourth-team All-American Athletic Conference honors from Phil Steele and honorable mention from the coaches. He served as a team captain and was named Preseason All-Big Ten third team by Phil Steele for 2026.
