Jesse Ofurie, a 6'2" defensive back from Salem, MA, played wide receiver and defensive back at St. John's Prep before joining Rutgers as a consensus three-star recruit in the 2023 class. He appeared in six games during his freshman year, recording two receptions including a catch in his collegiate debut against Wagner. After moving to defense in the offseason, Ofurie played in 12 games in 2024 and was named Academic All-Big Ten. In 2025, he appeared in all 12 games, totaled five tackles, and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the second time. As a returning junior, Ofurie continues his role on the defensive unit.
