Jared Smith is a true freshman offensive lineman from Stockbridge, Georgia, where he played for the Tigers under coach Kendrick Callier. As a senior, he earned Class 4A Region 2 honors on the offensive line and helped lead Stockbridge to an 8-3 record and a GHSA AAAA playoff appearance. Smith signed with Rutgers as a four-star prospect and the No. 19 interior line recruit nationally according to national outlets. His uncle, Tyron Smith, played offensive tackle in the NFL for Dallas (2011-2023) and New York (2024), earning eight Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro designations.
