Derrick Singletary is a defensive lineman for Rice standing 6'2" and weighing 221 pounds. From Middletown, Ohio, Singletary was a three-star recruit in the 2026 class with a rating of 0.845. At Middletown High School under coach Kali Jones, he recorded 192 tackles (63 for loss) and 11 forced fumbles while earning All-State honors and two All Greater Miami Conference selections. He also garnered two first-team All-SW Ohio selections. Singletary finished his prep career as the school's sack leader with 35 sacks and helped lead the Middies to their first Division I state semifinal appearance. He currently resides in Sid Richardson College.
