Ian Bothwell is an offensive lineman from Fort Worth, Texas who attended All Saints Episcopal High School. At All Saints, he was a three-time All-District and two-time All-State selection in TAPPS 5A D2 under coach Aaron Beck. Bothwell started 39 games across his high school career, during which All Saints reached the state title game in his sophomore year, the semifinals as a junior, and won the state championship as a senior. He arrives at Rice standing 6'5" and weighing 325 pounds. Bothwell did not see action during his first season with the Owls in 2025 and returns to the program as a redshirt freshman.
