Chris Bruce is a 6'3" slot player from Buda, Texas who attended Jack C. Hays High School, where he earned third-team TSWA All-State honors as a senior and was nominated for Austin Area Defensive Player of the Year. He redshirted in 2023 before appearing in 11 of 12 games on special teams in 2024, logging 44 kickoff and 42 kickoff return plays. In 2025, Bruce saw action in seven games with 62 special teams snaps and recorded his first career tackle against UConn, though an injury limited him after playing 15 special teams snaps in the UAB win. A two-time American Conference All-Academic selection, Bruce is a returning redshirt junior who majors in Business at Rice.
