Barry Jackson Jr. is a 5'11", 198-pound wide receiver from Ellenwood, Georgia, who transferred to Rice from Cincinnati. At Cedar Grove High School, he was a 3A All-State selection as a senior and caught 28 passes for 510 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior in 2021. During his time with the Bearcats, Jackson appeared in 28 games with two starts, recording four receptions for 100 yards and one touchdown in 2023, including a 65-yard touchdown reception against Eastern Kentucky. In 2024, he played in 10 games across 67 snaps with three receptions for 22 yards and seven rushing attempts for 21 yards. Jackson appeared in all 12 games on special teams in 2025, logging 36 plays. He retains two years of eligibility at Rice.
