Trey Smith is a 6'4", 265-pound rusher from Apopka, Florida, who redshirted his freshman season at Illinois in 2023 before transferring to Purdue. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, he appeared in nine games and posted two tackles along with a tackle-for-loss against Michigan State on November 22. In 2025, Smith played in all 12 games with two starts, recording 15 tackles and a sack.
