Maximilian Carmicle is a 6'8", 255-pound defensive end from Hazel Crest, Illinois, who attended Hillcrest High School. A three-star recruit by the composite recruiting rankings, he ranked as the No. 1 edge prospect in Illinois and No. 81 nationally at his position. In his high school career, Carmicle compiled 86 tackles, 20 tackles-for-loss, and 8.5 sacks while also recording three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and one interception. During his senior season, he earned IHSFCA 4A All-State honors after posting 12 tackles-for-loss, one interception, and six passes defended, while adding four receptions and two touchdowns on offense. He also competed in basketball at an all-state and all-conference level. Carmicle is a true freshman at Purdue.
