Jerrick Gibson is a running back from Gainesville, Florida, who played his high school ball at IMG Academy before committing to Texas. As a freshman in 2024, Gibson appeared in 15 games with one start, recording 78 rushes for 377 yards and four touchdowns while adding three receptions for 25 yards. His performance included a team-high 67 rushing yards and his first touchdown in his collegiate debut against Colorado State, a 14-yard touchdown and 100 yards on 16 carries versus Florida, and appearances in three College Football Playoff contests. Gibson redshirted his sophomore season in 2025 after appearing in four games with one start, totaling 37 carries for 152 yards and a touchdown, including a 13-yard score in his first start against Sam Houston.
