Ty Banco is an offensive lineman for the Pittsburgh Panthers standing 6'1" and weighing 325 pounds. A native of Washington, Pennsylvania, he attended Trinity High School, where he earned two Observer-Reporter Terrific 22 selections and was named a Bill Fralic Award finalist. Banco also competed in wrestling, compiling 121 wins and 31 losses with 86 pins, and won the heavyweight championship at the 2023 WPIAL AAA Championships. He spent 2023 at Texas A&M as a redshirt and did not appear in games. Banco transferred to Pittsburgh in June 2025 as a walk-on and appeared in one game during his first season with the Panthers.
