Nigel Maynard is a defensive back for the Pittsburgh Panthers. The Smyrna, Tennessee native attended Stewarts Creek High School, where he played cornerback, safety and wide receiver. As a senior, he recorded 47 tackles, three tackles for loss and three interceptions while helping lead his team to a 7-4 record and the Tennessee Class 6A playoffs. He earned Tennessee Sports Writers Association All-Class 6A honors and was named to The Tennessean Class of 2024 Top 100 at No. 23. Maynard enrolled at Pittsburgh in January 2024 and redshirted that season. In 2025, he appeared in five games primarily on special teams. From Stewarts Creek · Smyrna, TN.
