Ja'Kyrian Turner is a running back for the Pittsburgh Panthers who enrolled in January 2025 after early graduation from South Sumter High School in Florida. As a true freshman, he started five of 12 games and led the team with 140 carries for 747 yards and seven rushing touchdowns, adding 25 receptions for 150 yards. Turner recorded his first 100-yard game against Stanford with 127 yards on 22 carries. He earned ACC Rookie of the Week and ACC Running Back of the Week honors following a 201-yard, one-touchdown performance against Georgia Tech that included a 56-yard scoring run, making him Pitt's first 200-yard rusher since 2022.
