DeMarco Ward is a linebacker who transferred to Pittsburgh in January 2026 from Memphis. The 6'1", 215-pound Duluth, Georgia native spent 2023–24 at Florida State, appearing in 11 games across two seasons with 12 tackles, four pass breakups and 0.5 tackles for loss. At Memphis in 2025, Ward played in 11 games and recorded 10 tackles in a win at Rice, his season high. He also returned an interception 31 yards for a touchdown against Georgia State and earned American Conference Weekly Honorable Mention. Ward was a three-sport athlete in high school, compiling 238 tackles and seven sacks in 29 career games.
