Lucas Tenbrock is a true freshman punter for Penn State from St. Charles, Illinois, where he attended St. Charles North High School. At 6'6" and 210 pounds, Tenbrock helped lead his high school to back-to-back state playoff appearances. As a junior, he averaged 43 yards per punt while converting 42-of-42 extra point attempts and 5-of-6 field goal tries, also recording six successful onside kicks. He earned DuKane Conference Specialist of the Year honors twice and was an all-state selection. Tenbrock received invitations to the 2025 Navy All-American Bowl and was rated as the top punter in the 2026 class by Chris Sailer Kicking. He was tabbed a consensus three-star prospect and ranked as the No. 4 punter by recruiting services and No. 5 punter by recruiting services.
