Kase Evans is a true freshman quarterback for Penn State from Lexington, Texas. At Lexington High School under coach Kirk Muhl, Evans started for four consecutive years and led the program to four straight playoff appearances. He earned District MVP honors as a junior. Over his prep career, Evans accumulated 11,640 passing yards, 120 passing touchdowns and nine rushing touchdowns. As a senior, he recorded 2,945 passing yards, 34 passing touchdowns and six rushing scores. Evans also competed in track and field, qualifying for state championships in the discus.
