John Klosterman is a linebacker for Penn State who transferred from Iowa State. The 5'11", 223-pound Iowa City native played at City High School, where he recorded 59 tackles, 16 tackles for loss and six sacks as a senior, earning third-team All-State honors. At Iowa State from 2022–25, Klosterman appeared in 13 games in 2023, notching nine tackles with three solo. In 2024, he played in four games and recorded four tackles, one sack and one fumble recovery. During the 2025 season, he appeared in seven games with five tackles, four solo.
