Gavin Nix is a linebacker from Bradenton, Florida, who attended IMG Academy. A four-star recruit ranked 188th overall in the 2025 class, Nix appeared in seven games as a true freshman in 2025, including four regular-season contests and three postseason games. He recorded three total tackles during his freshman campaign, with two coming in the College Football Playoff first round against James Madison on December 20.
