Kai Wheaton is a defensive back for Oregon State from Allen, Texas, where he lettered under head coach Lee Wiginton. As a senior, Wheaton recorded 26 tackles, 10 pass breakups, one sack and one defensive touchdown. In his junior year, he totaled 23 tackles and eight pass breakups, while his sophomore season saw 29 tackles, four interceptions and seven pass breakups. Wheaton was a First-Team All-District selection and served as team captain. He also lettered in track and earned All-State Academic Team honors. A true freshman in 2026, Wheaton chose Oregon State because of the coaching staff.
