AJ Newberry is a running back from Grand Prairie, Texas who transfers to Oregon State as a redshirt junior. A unanimous three-star prospect at South Grand Prairie High School, he was rated the No. 35 running back in his class by Rivals and surpassed 2,000 yards of total offense with 24 touchdowns as a senior. At Vanderbilt, Newberry appeared in 26 games over three seasons with one start, accumulating 338 rushing yards on 79 attempts and six touchdowns, adding nine receptions for 152 yards and two scores.
