Lucas Carneiro, a placekicker from Cornelius, North Carolina, transferred to Ole Miss in January 2025 after two seasons at Western Kentucky. At WKU, he made 87.1 percent of his field goal attempts across 2023 and 2024, including a 94.7 percent mark in 2024 when he finished 18-for-19. He was a Lou Groza Award semifinalist and first-team All-American in 2024, earning CUSA Special Teams Player of the Year. In 2025, Carneiro made 31 of 35 field goals with a long of 58 yards and connected on all 56 extra points, accumulating 149 points.
